Shipping and delivery details


Allow a minimum of 6 to 8 weeks for manufacture*. Our beds are individually made to your requirements and are hand painted to ensure quality and satisfaction.

All beds exclude mattress and accessories, unless specifically ordered.

Delivery is not included and needs to be arranged (see below) . Beds can be delivered as complete or flat-packed with minor assembly required. Design-A-Bed accepts no responsibility for damage as a result of collection and/or delivery, and clients are requested to make arrangements for insurance against such damage. All beds leave our premises in 100% perfect condition. See Terms and Conditions

*Please note that delays may be experienced as a result of excessive rain or cold, as the paint takes much longer to dry.

You are requested to make your own delivery arrangements.

Our workshop is based in Randpark Ridge with easy access to the N1 highway.

We have set up a favourable relationship with Grindrod Furniture Division for shipments across the country. Contact Quinton or Mariza on Tel. 011 574 5700.

Goods can be ordered as flatpack or assembled. Please specify your requirement on the Order Form.

Please note that Design-A-Bed does not act on your behalf by enlisting the services of the courier and does not act as the courier and therefore cannot be held responsible for delays or any other problems regarding delivery, including but not limited to, liability for orders shipped to incomplete or incorrect shipping addresses supplied by the customer. Any additional fees for such orders will be the responsibility of the customer.

Please insure goods against damages. All items are checked before leaving our premises to ensure perfect condition before being shipped.
